Research Associate - Qualitative Specialist

Annette Marie Hestres Garcia is a Dual-Ph.D. student in Adult Education and in Comparative and International Education programs at The Pennsylvania State University. Prior to becoming a Dual-Ph.D. student, Annette received a Masters degree in Music from The Pennsylvania State University (2003) and a second Masters degree in Music Education from the Loyola University in Maryland (2010). She has taught from public elementary school grades to adult learners.

Annette’s current research focuses on adult learning and Latina lesbians in Higher Education. Her research interests include Latino immigration integration and socio-cultural practices.
