
Christina Turner is a graduate student in the Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, & Assessment (MESA) program at the University of Illinois-Chicago studying educational research methods. She previously served as the Associate Director of Institutional Research & Assessment in the Office of Institutional Research at Gonzaga University. There, she provided leadership and resource expertise in research and assessment activities that support university efforts in strategic planning, enrollment management, institutional effectiveness, compliance reporting, policy analysis, and institutional accreditation. Prior to her position at Gonzaga University, she served as the Director of Planning, Institutional Effectiveness, and Research at Spokane Falls Community College. Christina’s academic background is in Philosophy, Mathematics, History of Science and Technology, Physics, and Higher Education Administration. Shaped by her experiences as physics Ph.D. student, Christina’s research interests include undergraduate research experiences, scholarly identity development, first generation students, and alternative academic (“alt-ac”) career discernment.
