Dr. Becky Crandall serves as Associate Professor of Practice in the Adult and Higher Education program at Oregon State University. With close to two decades of postsecondary leadership experience, including nine years in Student Affairs roles, Dr. Crandall considers herself a scholar-practitioner. This identity shapes her approach to advising and teaching. It also informs her research on intercollegiate athletes, LGBTQ+ students, and graduate students in higher education and student affairs programs.
Dr. Crandall was the 2017 recipient of the Jon C. Dalton Institute on College Student Values Dissertation of the Year award and the 2017 Burns B. Crookston Doctoral Research Award awarded by the ACPA Commission for Professional Preparation. She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Research and Policy Analysis with a specialization in Higher Education from North Carolina State University in 2016.
